Whitney Elizabeth Houston made her place in Hollywood through her acting and singing before tragically passing away in 2012. She also became the very first African American to make her way into mainstream music industry by breaking all the radical barriers. Along with her skills that made her so famous, there was also her style, her ever changing hairstyles and that is exactly what we are going to focus on in this post.

Skin Low Hair

Whitney had tomboyish skin low curls back in the days when she released her first album. She looked just like any ordinary woman, little did we know she was about to become an icon. The skin low curls gave her face more room to shine and looked fresh.

Curly Floof with Bangs

We were introduced to her new hairstyle when she released her second album. Her was way longer than before and she even had feathered bangs which looked fluffy due to her curly hair. This was definitely a bold statement look and gave her more of a feminine energy. The overall hairstyle is giving me chola hairstyle vibe.

Pixie Curls

Her curls almost made every hairstyle look good on her. This was the time when Whitney was rocking her cinnamon blonde hair which was in a pixie cut and of course there are curls.

Pixie Straight

At this point we all know Whitney probably loved experimenting with her hair and tried almost everything. This is where she straightened her curls and I take back what I said earlier. It’s not the curls that make her hairstyles pretty, it’s Whitney herself. Because she doesn’t have curls here, but she still looks iconic.

Sleeky and Wavy

Sleeky straight hair, then curled halfway to turn them into waves. This hairstyle is full of volume and adds so much dimension to her overall look. Adding to this, her highlights looked perfect as well.

Bixie cut

Bixie is basically the combination of Pixie and Bob. Here the hair is neither short enough to be considered a pixie, nor long enough to be considered a bob. It’s the in between hairstyle and to say that it looks fabulous will be an understatement.

Bob Cut

Here comes the famous Bob haircut that suits her face so much. She is also flaunting side swept bangs with dark hair colour. It’ adorable, and becomes even more beautiful because it’s on Whitney.

Natural Afro Curls

During this time, Whitney was rocking her natural fluffy African hair which was full of volume and shine. We can also notice some bangs peaking from underneath and god does it look beautiful.

Layered Cut

Layered haircut gave Whitney a very mature look and just like waves, added more dimension to her look. The famous Whitney bangs are missing though, but this hairstyle is also very iconic to say the lest.
